My Tattoo's: Favourite Quote

I've been saying for a while that I've craved a new tattoo and I've also always loved this quote so it only goes that I went on Saturday to book it and since the artist had no appointments at the time I ended up getting the tattoo there and then.

It's on my right forearm. I didn't really plan on getting it done this big but when the stencil was all drawn out I liked how it looked. It's quite a sensitive area but since it was only black lines it didn't take too long.

My Tattoo's: Elliot's Name

At the end of January we went to get our tattoo's of Elliot's name. I got Chloe's name on my leg a few months after she was born and Armando had her name in a heart of flowers and some other things.

With Elliot I got exactly the same thing, his name and date of birth but since Chloe's name has a bow in it I got a star on Elliot. It was hard to get a good picture in the light but here's the tattoo, right under Chloe's. 

Armando also got his tattoo for Elliot with his name and date of birth on a cross with a snake wrapped around it (Elliot was born in the year of the snake).

One tattoo I never thought I would get was a name of a partner. But being married means something to me. We already have our wedding rings tattooed but I thought it would be nice to get Armando's name. I got the tattoo on the side of my left foot with a little heart next to it.

Tuesday 13th Novemeber 2012 

We decided that instead of getting actual wedding rings we would get tattoo's like rings instead. You can't loose it, it's a lot more personal and it shows how completely committed we are to each other.
We each designed our own tattoo and included the date of our marriage (12/11/12). We designed them to be just like a ring going around our fingers with the date on the outside and a little personal design on the inside. Mine had a letter A with a heart on either side and Armando's was in the shape of an infinite sign but with a heart on one side and a K on the other.

When we went to get them done the tattoo artist told us having them on the inside of the finger was a bad idea because they would fade away very fast. So instead of getting the full ring tattoo's we'd planned we had them just on the back of our fingers. We're still really pleased with how they turned out and it means they're more noticeable this way too.

My tattoo's: Chloe's Name

I knew before I had children that I would always get their names tattooed on me. So a few months after Chloe was born I designed a tattoo of her name.

On the tattoo is her name, a little purple bow with a heart and her date of birth underneath. I'm happy with how it looks and the fact I designed it myself makes it extra special too.

My tattoo's: Heart Lock

This tattoo is on top of my right foot and is by far the most painful tattoo I have. There was lots of shading and being on top of a foot it's all boney which made it hurt.

This is the first tattoo I got which I related to a tattoo my husband has. The heart has a lock inside it and Armando has a big rose tattoo with a key connected to it. So he has the key to my heart.

My tattoo's: Chinese Symbol

My third tattoo is definitely my most asked about tattoo. It's a Chinese symbol I have on my right arm and everyone always asks what it means. It means love and I did a lot of research to make sure I wasn't putting a random Chinese word.

My tattoo's: Heart and star

My second tattoo is on my right hip. I took a design from the tattoo studio of some flowers and changed it to a heart and star and the vine instead.

The picture here was taken after having my children so it's a bit stretched out and needs some touch ups.

My tattoo's: Red rose

I got my first tattoo when I was 18. I'd known for years what the first tattoo I wanted was. A single red rose, my favourite flower.

I got the rose on my upper left arm.
